It's the return of the Mack

Does anyone remember that song? It was a gem back in my highschool days. If you don't remember, allow me to help you out:

Anyway, that's actually not the point. The point is, the mack has returned. and so have I, thankfully. I know what you're thinking. "But Dominique, you've been so stellar to be around for the past year or so. How could you possibly get any better?" Well thanks, liars, but I know I've been the biggest whiny mope ever. However, I ripped someone a new one last week that deserved to get a new one ripped, and, being a big believer in effciency, I also used that fury to start the ripping on someone else who had it coming. Both of these have resulted in a renewed sense of self, and I don't feel the inevitable guilt at all.

What I do feel, is valuable. Valuable to myself, to my job, to my friends. Once upon a time, I would have never put up with half of the crap salad I have the past year. Now I'm not saying that I'm going to turn into some kind of BA, but I have learned that when appropriate, I am capable and willing to say "uncool."

I also went to drum lessons yesterday, and had a great time as always. I need to really focus on practicing what I've learned so far, because I'm ready to move on to the next step. I've also kind of discovered the kind of drummer I want to be, which is a majorly big deal with as wide a spectrum of music tastes as I have. Think Foo Fighters...rocking out.

Anyway, I'll report back soon with my progress. And if you didn't bother to watch the return of the Mack, please please do. It's even better than I remember.

Icees DO make the afternoon perfect. It's almost Icee season, you realize.
